Our Family Program is designed as a way for families to cultivate their faith together. The program would meet once a month between Sunday masses at the St. James site. When the program meets, the children will meet with peers in specific grade levels and a Classroom Group Leader, who will lead the students in lessons based on monthly themes. The adults will be introduced to the monthly At-Home Lessons and various learning experiences and engage in a panel discussion. Parents will have ample time to discuss the importance of and ways to include Catholic culture in their homes. After the learning sessions, children will join the adults for a prayer or service-based activity.
With the still rising numbers of COVID cases locally and within the state, the GIFT Family Program will remain online for the second semester (January to April). With the number of families enrolled in GIFT and social distancing guidelines, it is in the safety of our families and Catechists to remain online for right now. Our families will have access to monthly overview videos to introduce and discuss the themes and content for the month. There are also "Extra GIFTS" which are activities that supplement the At-Home Lesson Plans and would have coincided with the classroom lessons and activities.
We ask that all families sign a Memorandum of Understanding for children to potentially participate in remote classroom with our GIFT Classroom Leaders. Click below to access the Remote Program Memorandum.
