A Word From Fr. Tom - 05.22.16

My mom likes to work on word searches and puzzles. She says that it keeps her thinking. I can remember when we would take family vacations in the car, my mom would always pull out a word search puzzle. It was a wonderful accomplishment for her when all the words would be found. Most puzzles and word searches are solvable. Explaining or fully understanding the Trinity doesn’t always add up.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. God is three in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This is one of the “mysteries” of our faith

In today’s Gospel, we read the famous Gospel that God so loved us that he gave his only begotten Son. This familiar Gospel passage with Jesus talking to Nicodemus reminds us that God gave his Son to the world to go out and preach and teach. As we celebrate the Most Holy Trinity, let us seek out the Trinity in our life as a sign of hope and love.
