A Word From Fr. Tom - 04.30.17

Today is the Third Sunday of Easter. All of the readings this weekend focus on recognizing that Christ is in our midst each and every day. In the gospel of Luke we read the beautiful scripture passage of the “Emmaus Walk” (which is only found in Luke) as two disciples of Jesus come to recognize the risen Lord.

Jesus is present in our family, friends, co-workers, classmates, and complete strangers. When we attend Mass, Christ is present in the Liturgy of the Word, and in the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Let us take some time today to ponder Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection. Let us strive to recognize Jesus in the people and events of our everyday lives.
